Serpstat vs Semrush
The affordable all-in-one against the market leader. The real question is whether Semrush's deeper databases and AI-visibility tracking are worth paying more than double.
Serpstat
The suite nobody talks about and users quietly keep.
Semrush
The everything-suite, now tracking AI answers too.
Our verdict
Semrush wins on depth and on the AI era: larger keyword and backlink databases, the full marketing platform (PPC, content, and social next to SEO), and the most mature tracking of how often ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini mention your brand. Serpstat wins on value and reach: the same all-in-one checklist (keyword research, rank tracking, site audit, backlinks, AI content) from around $59 a month versus Semrush's $139.95, with team seats included earlier and notably stronger keyword data outside the US and UK. The honest test: if you run an agency or need competitive intelligence and AI-visibility metrics, Semrush earns the premium. If you want most of the capability at under half the price, and especially if you work international markets, Serpstat is the smarter buy.
“The quiet mid-market option: a real all-in-one with fair pricing and surprisingly deep keyword data for several Eastern European and Asian markets. Less polished than SE Ranking, more capable than its name recognition suggests.”Editorial team, on Serpstat
“The most complete marketing suite in the business, and with Semrush One it moved first on the AI era: tracking how often ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini mention your brand. Expensive, occasionally overwhelming, and still the safest professional default.”Editorial team, on Semrush
